Sara Wasserbauer, MD is one of the world leaders in medically surpervised SMP and has hosted workshops for hair transplant surgeons from around the world to teach proper technique and technology for SMP.
During her workshops she was never happy with the materials used for practicing SMP and so along with a team of engineers she develop SYNSCALP, the first synthetic scalp material that allows novice and experts in SMP the opportunity to practice their craft.
Dr. Wasserbauer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery – Fellow of the International Society Of Hair Restoration Surgery and is currently located in the Bay Area, outside of San Francisco, in Walnut Creek, California.
She is currently the Vice President of the board of directors for the ABHRS, and as one of the most experienced and accredited hair restoration surgeons in California Dr. Wasserbauer is a regular resource for news media , blogs. podcasts and forums on hair loss and it’s treatment.
